Red Velvet Cupcake Day

Lindsay bought a Red Velvet Cupcake mix from Sprinkles bakery (apparently a famous place down in LA) for a special going away present. We made them one afternoon last week, and I have never in my life had a better cupcake, cake, or anything of that nature!!! The texture was amazing...I can't even describe it. However, for those who have never made red velvet cake, there is a large quantity of red food coloring involved in order to get that signature color. We have been fighting red splotches ever since (kitchen, bathroom, shower), but it was totally worth it.
