Hairdos

The girls got to go get their hair cut a few weeks ago. They always enjoy anything that mommy gets to do and we found a great stylist here.

The final result...I am going to start cleaning my guns now.

Gracie's Fall Festival

Gracie has been really excited about school this whole semester. One of her highlights was the "Fall Festival", where she got to color a pumpkin, make a prayer box and a spiderweb, and get dressed up. Ellie had a great time because she got to go to the big kid school and eat cookies. She is very excited about going to real school in the spring, now that she finally decided to potty train.
Daddy got to come for a few minutes!

Gracie was SO happy! And Ellie was eating....

We made it

We are at the hotel.  Want to try to talk on computer?  Might not want to tell the girls until we have troubleshot if there are problems.  Let me know when you are at the computer!  Love you!

Gracie's writing progress

Just a quick brag post. Lindsay has been working with Gracie on tracing letters. G finds letters EVERYWHERE and it is almost annoying as we drive around. We know it is awesome to see her brain developing so it doesn't quite reach the fully annoying stage. She decided tonight that she knew how to write her name!
Recognizable? I think so but I am a proud father. You be the judge.

She can also spell Gracie, Ellie, Mommy, Daddy, and nearly figured out Nanny for herself tonight. She is REALLY close to reading. Exciting!

Our girls are growing up!

We decided to take the plunge. Ellie has been waking up at night this last week and 75% of the time she was all scrunched up on the crib cushion with her head against the boards. Perhaps she is outgrowing it. So today we had a family meeting and asked the girls if they would like to sleep in the same room. Ellie was her normal onery self and said no but we moved the beds anyway. Now both beds are in Ellie's old room and the crib will be taken down if things work out. We are a little concerned about them talking and not sleeping, but we think that will just be part of the adjustment and is also something that we actually want them to do someday (maybe after they get a little older?). Our little girls are growing up!

Ellie: "I love my new bed! It's cute" (Yes that is a direct quote)

We found some Dora sheets in the closet for Ellie

Gracie was excited to see her Spiderman sheets again too!
