It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

So, since it is the day after Thanksgiving it is time to start hanging up the Christmas decorations. We were up bright and early, put on our Christmas music, and went to work. We were hoping to go get our tree aswell but mother nature had differnet plans for us. She brought down the rain...We did manage to get most of the inside done. We will post the finished product later.

Dress Up

Wayne had an exercise at work that required this interesting get-up and thought it would be fun to play dress up with Gracie. She had a blast!

Long day!!!

Gracie and Daddy fell asleep together after a long day! Doesn't get much sweeter than that!

Didn't she do such a great job? It is equiped with people, a Christmas tree, and even a yellow brick road.

I guess as messes go this one isn't nearly as bad as the Oreo's. Still pretty funny though. She thought she was hot stuff!

Gracie goes to the nail shop!

We had SO much fun! Gracie picked out her own polish (bright purple) and she could hardly stand to wait her turn. It was cheap too..five dollars! Good clean fun.

If you give a baby an OREO...

...you might need new carpet. Surprisingly enough, Oreo and baby saliva create the "stainiest" substance known to man; Oxyclean and Resolve do not have what it takes to clean it all up.

We actually did not give Ellie the Oreos. She was sneaky enough to snag them from the pantry when I wasn't looking, then she and Gracie retired to the master bedroom to have a picnic. I have never seen Ellie's little hands move so fast as when she was shoveling the mini cookies into her mouth! She doesn't get a lot of sweets due to her unknown allergy situation, so this was definitely new to her and obviously very exciting.

Wild Adventures

We tok Poppa to Wild Adventures today...Gracie was SO excited even though she wasn't quite sure what it was. She has been there before but it has been awhile. She loved it! Animals, rides, corn dog, and lots of attention. Ellie rode in her stroller most of the time but took a nice time out at the end to snuggle with Dad.

Gracie was fearless in picking rides...she rodea real roller coaster, some spinning rides, and a few tamer ones. She didn't like the spinning too much although she did tolerate it. Lots of "Daaaadeeeeee" and "Mooooommeeeeee" on the ride itself and then she would get off smiling and say "Again". We had a great time and the girls were both pooped when we got done. Gracief el asleep again but we learned from last time and woke her up. She didn't sleep until 11:15 last night.

Gracie at the park

We went to the park today and Gracie had a blast as usual. She is getting really good at climbing. She did well on the rock wall and we got a video of it. The first time she did it, I helped show her where to put her hands and feet and she got the hang of it right away.

She fell asleep in the car on the way home so we put her on the couch, expecting her to wake up shortly...not so much. So far she has slept through banging pots, putting groceries away, and her inquisitive sister.

Ellie was SOO glad to be getting out of her prison...she still had one smile left for me to show she wasn't mad.

Gracie's Halloween

We will get around to getting some more stuff up on our Halloween, but the pictures we took didn't turn out very well for some reason. Here is a clip of Gracie trick or treating with Poppa and Daddy. She LOVED her Dora costume and was quite the hit among all the other trick or treaters out there.

We had literally hundreds of kids come by the house...our neighborhood is to Halloween what some neighborhoods are to Christmas lights. We had 3 cars parked in front of our house at one point. Crazy, but fun.
