Gracie's First Day of School

Today was Gracie's first day at Little Sonbeams Christian Preschool! She is getting to be so old...it is hard to let her go but that is part of life, I suppose. She has been dying to go to school for months, and thinks anything that you call "school" is fun.

We feel extremely blessed to get her into any preschool in the area, since they are all full and all have waiting lists. We were on the waiting lists for a couple schools and the one that took her is the closest and most academic of all the ones we were looking at (except the Montessori, but seriously, who has $565/month for preschool?). She will go twice a week for 3 hours.

Gracie was a little hesitant when we got there. For all her talk, she is shy with new experiences. But her teacher let her sit in her lap and got some of the other kids to introduce themselves. Everyone looked friendly and Gracie will have a great time learning to be a little bigger and more social!
